About Me

Born and raised in Southern California, I currently live in Ventura County, with my youngest daughter. I also have two other children who attend college and both have a job.

I graduated high school, then went on to Pasadena City College for a few years and got my AA degree. I wanted to be a dentist…but that didn’t work out for various reasons and I found myself working at a warehouse in downtown Los Angeles for about 3 years. The money was good, but it was definitely not a career. So, one day I walked in the office, gave my 2 weeks notice as was out of there.

So…fast forward a few years and I got my real estate license…at a time interest rates were above 12%…nobody was buying houses…and I mean nobody…so now what?

Time for a career change…

The computer industry sounded good…so I went to a vocational school for about nine months. I got my first job and thought this was going to be a great career…and it was…for a while…

After a few years I realized that I just didn’t like working for other people and wanted my own business. I started a computer consulting business and it was going OK for a year or two…but I wasn’t going to retire any time soon doing this for a living, basically I had created a J-O-B for myself; long hours, lots of stress.

I started a business with a partner…

It was a mail order software business and we were at the right place at the right time, it took off like a wildfire…and the first few years it was a like a money machine. But…that was all about to change…with the onset of the Internet and a few wrong turns; that business was dead roughly two years later…and I had to go bankrupt.

So, it was back to a J-O-B for me…argh!

At least I had learned a lot about computers so I got a job in that industry with little effort and I hung up my entrepreneurial hat for a while in favor of a steady paycheck. After a few years and a few job changes, I found myself burnt out from the stress of this industry. I’ll never forget that day…I was sitting traffic on the 101 freeway in downtown Los Angeles…I could see my office a mile away and it took me over an hour to get there in the rush hour traffic.

As I’m sitting in traffic, I’m thinking…there has to be a better way…

Is this how I’m going to spend the rest of my life? Sitting in traffic for 2 hours per day…going to a job that I don’t care about…to work with people that I don’t want to be around…to a boss that doesn’t appreciate me…are you kidding me? I was living the rat race…

I thought to myself, there has to be a better way to make a buck than fighting traffic and working 12 hours per day. I never got to see my family (married with 2 kids) and when I did, I was too tired to do anything. And I was really tired of seeing other people having the things that I wanted; the most precious of all was time…time to do the things that I wanted to do…more family time…more free time…more fun time…

So…I started actively looking for some type of home based business…

I wanted something that I could start slowly, maybe 5 – 10 hours per week and eventually get out of the computer business. I couldn’t just up and quit now, I had a family to support.

It was at this time a friend introduced me to the network marketing industry. I didn’t know anything about it, but the leveraging of time vs. money sounded good; I could start slowly and build a business over time and create a residual income stream.

My entry in this industry was the old favorite…Amway. I followed the advice of my upline…made a list of friends, family, and acquaintances, bought leads, etc…I think you know the end of this story…I changed companies a few times, but the ending was always the same…a few sign-ups, but no real money.

I soon realized that I couldn’t sell ice cubes to people in the Sahara Desert in the middle of summer. I thought it would be easy, but…

I had no system in place…

So I went back into the computer consulting business again…but never gave up on having another home based business that would create the residual income stream that I wanted. So…let’s fast forward a year or so.

Combining the Network Marketing Industry with the Internet…

I then decided to get some real training and coaching from some of the best Internet marketers in the industry. I came across what was to be the turning point for my business, a product called Elite Marketing Pro. Within a few months I started to see some real success and because of the training I received and a commitment to success, my business is growing steadily.

Internet Marketing is really about Building Your Own List, creating a Brand…(YOU, Inc.), and your own personal following. It’s also a commitment to your own personal growth and development.

Network Marketing is a people business…people helping people. It’s a business that is designed as a win-win, because I only succeed if you succeed. In Corporate America it’s just the opposite…if I were your boss, do you really believe that I’m going to teach you to be better than me so you can take my job…not likely!
